Take the MSNBC Online Poll on Arizona’s Immigration Law: 7/13/10 Results = 96% Favor (3,447,000) & 4% Oppose (144,000)

MSNBC is conducting an online poll asking if people think Arizona’s immigration law, SB 1070, is a good idea.  Take the poll and view the latest poll results.  Update:  As of July 14, 2010, the poll was taken down.  The numbers in the above headline were the numbers from the evening of July 13, 2010.  Could it be because ultra liberal MSNBC didn’t like the results?  Normally, a website would love to have 3.5 million visitors in a short period of time with the promise of millions more to ONE SINGLE PAGE!

I hope that every American, regardless of where he lives, will stop and examine his conscience about this and other related incidents. This Nation was founded by men of many nations and backgrounds. It was founded on the principle that all men are created equal, and that the rights of every man are diminished when the rights of one man are threatened. All of us ought to have the right to be treated as he would wish to be treated, as one would wish his children to be treated, but this is not the case.

I know the proponents of this law say that the majority approves of this law, but the majority is not always right. Would women or non-whites have the vote if we listen to the majority of the day, would the non-whites have equal rights (and equal access to churches, housing, restaurants, hotels, retail stores, schools, colleges and yes water fountains) if we listen to the majority of the day? We all know the answer, a resounding, NO!

Today we are committed to a worldwide struggle to promote and protect the rights of all who wish to be free. In a time of domestic crisis men of good will and generosity should be able to unite regardless of party or politics and do what is right, not what is just popular with the majority. Some men comprehend discrimination by never have experiencing it in their lives, but the majority will only understand after it happens to them.

Although many Americans may agree with you in principal, there is one ineresting addition to your comments. Unfortunately our country voted in the majority to elect a President who fits in the same category as the other references you made. He has become in possibly the shortest period of time, a President that the majority of the country elected but now has the majority of the country in opposition to many of the things he is trying to IMPOSE on us. Arizona, or any other State should have a right to protect itself if the Federal Government, who is charged to provide that protection, is not doing so.

GO! GO! SB 1070! ILLEGALS GET OUT OF OUR COUNTRY!

“All Men are created equal”! The founders had it right, when attempting to form a perfect union and they also knew that they were not there yet but knew we one day would get there. Lincoln moved us forward as did JFK and LBJ. This Nation was founded by men of many nations and backgrounds. It was founded on the principle that all men are created equal, and that the rights of every man are diminished when the rights of one man are threatened.

It is my contention that this AZ law is not constitutional and will fail when challenged (unless, of course, they keep adding more amendments), pretty funny for this so called perfect law, that many internet blogs claim it was copied “Word for Word” from the Federal law, which I frankly do not believe, if it was then no amendments would have been made, right?, of course.

As for the undocumented workers, as was attributed to Ronald Reagan “It’s the Economy, Stupid”. When the economy is good we say let’s all celebrate “Cinco de Mayo, my brothers” but when the economy is down “it’s all your fault, you damn immigrant”. This too will pass. The real problem is the narcos/drug and people smuggler that’s what the focus should be on.

Don’t you find it funny that no one ever voted for Brewer for Governor, it’s all about politics and getting elected, do not be fooled. Busy Brewer has passed S.B. 1070, no permit conceal weapons law, the famous Birthers law, banning Ethic studies law, (could she be behind the Mural in Prescott, Arizona) and if history is a lesson she should look up Arizona’s House Bill 2779 from two years ago (which failed when legally challenged) and the craziest one the boycotted Martin Luther King Day, not wanting another holiday, how crazy is that. I believe there is an undercurrent to their enactment of new laws, they real love following a distinct pattern. Poor Brewer, last week, she first she said her Dad had died in Germany fighting the Nazi in World War II (war ended 1945) and we find out her father was never in Germany and died in California in 1955 (watch the spin doctors go into overdrive) and then she went to Washington and came back empty as always, poor dear.

“Opponents want to create an atmosphere of hate by painting those who want a secure border as historically equivalent to those who viewed a racial group as inferior; both genetically and culturally. The majority of Americans do not hold racial prejudices.

The desire to protect the border along with the desire for immigrants to come LEGALLY to the United States is not new.
It is a problem when businesses take advantage of illegal immigrants to pay them low wages.
It is also a problem when those same illegal immigrants are taking the jobs that should go to American citizens.”

“Americans do not owe the rest of the world access to our privileges. We are the most tolerant county the world has ever seen and we reserve the right to dictate the method by which you may become an American citizen.
We reserve the right to protect our borders, something fundamental to the security of a nation.
Businesses that hire illegal immigrants need to be punished and the border needs to be secure.
I am just sick of being labeled a racist for these common sense goals.
Thousands of illegal immigrants may march in the streets protesting their illegality but the fact still remains the same.
To support the actions of the millions who have avoided the system, however flawed it may be, would be to support lawlessness!

TO YOU BENITO; You talk of conscience, equality, freedom and rights, and our founding fathers, and then spin it into your twisted, idiotic rhetoric! You have much in common with Washington today!
America was founded on LEGAL Immigrants! They were upstanding men and women with great character, conscience, loyalty to America and unwavering PATRIOTISM!
All of these qualities you are obviously truly lacking.
And then you also spin the good will and generosity of America?!
    STICK IT BENITO !!!
We are a nation founded upon the rule of law.
GO ARIZONA And GO AMERICA! We are the majority!
To protect our Country, our Home, the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA, must be first and foremost in our lives. If we do not live with this conviction, America is doomed to vanish!
PLUG THE DAMN HOLES to SECURE OUR BORDERS NOW!

    • LANA July 14, 2010 at 1:56 pm

JACK – I COULD NOT HAVE SAID IT BETTER MYSELF. WE ARE THE MAJORITY AND WE DO NEED TO SECURE OUR BORDERS. PEOPLE NEED TO WAKE UP AND SEE WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON HERE. THE MONEY THE ILLEGALS MAKE HERE IS SENT BACK TO THEIR COUNTRY, THEY AREN’T PAYING OUR TAXES, THEY CLAIM MORE CHILDREN THEN THEY ACTUALLY HAVE ON THEIR PAYCHECKS STUBS BECAUSE THE DUMB AMERICANS TOLERATE IT.

I RAN A RESTAURANT IN TEXAS FOR SEVERAL YEARS AND FOUND OUT THAT THEY CAN PURCHASE FAKE SOCIAL SECURITY CARDS FOR $20, REGISTRATION FOR THEIR CARS,VEHICLE INSPECTION STICKERS, ETC. THEY HAVE IT MADE HERE AND THEY KNOW IT. THEY WOULD ONLY WORK FOR 6 – 8 MONTHS THEN WOULD GO BACK TO MEXICO AND COME BACK WITH A NEW NAME, NEW SOCIAL SECURITY, AND WANT THEIR JOB BACK. CAN YOU BELIEVE THAT CRAP? I DON’T EVEN WANT TO GET STARTED ON HOW MUCH IT COSTS THE COUNTRY IN WELFARE,IT IS ABSOLUTELY RIDICULOUS.

I STILL BELIEVE THAT IF YOU MOVE TO ANOTHER COUNTRY YOU SHOULD LEARN THE LANGUAGE TOO, WHAT HAPPENED TO THAT. I TURN ON THE RADIO AND EVERY DAY THERE ARE MORE MUSIC STATIONS THAT I CAN’T EVEN UNDERSTAND, SAME GOES FOR THE TELEVISION! PEOPLE WE NEED TO WAKE UP AND TAKE A LOOK AROUND. GO ARIZONA! LETS HOPE THE REST OF THE UNITED STATES CAN FOLLOW IN YOUR FOOTSTEPS, IT HAS BEEN A LONG TIME COMING! SECURE OUR BORDERS NOW!

Just enter Our United States and apply legally for citizenship—-you’ll be welcomed.

    It’s such a simple solution.

  7. Montana June 21, 2010 at 3:10 pm

The Tea Bag Party are just “haters not debaters” or as others have dubbed them “screamers not dreamers”, with their failed attempts at stopping Healthcare reform, they say they respect the Constitution, the Bill of Rights and the Declaration of Independence but they do not mind passing laws, through weak Governors (no one voted for this crazy) who only cares about getting elected Governor, on the backs of undocumented workers, that will not pass Constitution muster.

    Brewer signed into law;

    1. S.B. 1070,
    2. No permit conceal weapons law,
    3. The famous Birthers law,
    4. Banning Ethnic studies law,

    5. Could she be behind the Mural in Prescott, Arizona, ordered to be whiten,
    6. On deck to pass, no citizenship to babies born to undocumented workers,

    7. If she can read she should look up Arizona’s House Bill 2779 from two years ago (which was un-constitution and failed when legally challenged),
    8. The boycotted Martin Luther King Day, what idiots don’t want another holiday? Yes, you guessed it Arizona.

Well Arizona, you can boycott new holidays and keep passing crazy laws and the rest of us will continue to challenged them in a court of law and continue to add cities to our Boycott of your state.

I real cannot believe anything that comes out of Brewer’s mouth, in an interview she first said her father had died in Germany fighting the Nazi in World War II (war ended 1945) but of course we find out the truth that father was never in Germany and died in California in 1955. But we are suppose to believe everything else she says, right! No one voted for you for Governor, yet you keep listening to the tiny brains of the crazies and signing into law everything that comes into their feeble minds, it only make you look dumb, stupid or racist, or maybe all three.

As for the Tea Bag Party, their phony patriotism is sickening; they are just racists going by another name. We all know you are just itching to put a sheet on their head? Let’s face it the Republicans had eight years to deal with health care, immigration, energy (remember Cheney’s secret meetings with oil companies where loosening regulation and oversight were sealed), climate change and financial oversight and governance and they failed. It appears that the Republican Party is only good at starting wars (two in eight years, with fat contracts to friends of Cheney/Bush) but not at winning wars as seen by the continuing line of body bags that keep coming home. The Republicans party will continue turned inward to their old fashion obstructionist party (and their Confederacy appreciation roots) because they continue to allow a small portions (but very loud portion) of their party of “birthers, baggers and blowhards” to rule their party. I will admit that this fringe is very good at playing “Follow the Leader” by listening to their dullard leaders, Beck, Hedgecock, Hannity, O’Reilly, Rush, Savage, Sarah Bailin, Orly Taitz, Victoria Jackson, Michele Bachmann and the rest of the Blowhards and acting as ill programmed robots (they have already acted against doctors that perform abortions).

The Birthers and the Tea Bag party crowd think they can scare, intimidate and force others to go along with them by comments like “This time we came unarmed”, let me tell you something not all ex-military join the fringe militia crazies who don’t pay taxes and run around with face paint in the parks playing commando, the majority are mature and understand that the world is more complicated and grey than the black and white that these simpleton make it out to be and that my friend is the point. The world is complicated and people like Hamilton, Lincoln, and Roosevelt believed that we should use government a little to increase social mobility, now it’s about dancing around the claim of government is the problem. The sainted Reagan passed the biggest tax increase in American history and as a result federal employment increased, but facts are lost when mired in mysticism and superstition. For a party that gave us Abraham Lincoln, it is tragic that the ranks are filled with too many empty suits and the crazy Birthers who have not learned that the way our courts work is that you get a competent lawyer, verifiable facts and present them to a judge, if the facts are real and not half baked internet lies, then, and only then, do you proceed to trial. The Birthers seem to be having a problem with their so called “Internet facts”. Let’s face it no one will take the Birthers seriously until they win a case, but until then, you will continue to appear dumb, crazy or racist, or maybe all three. I heard that Orly Taitz now wants to investigate the “Republican 2009 Summer of Love” list: Assemblyman, Michael D. Duvall (CA), Senator John Ensign (NV), Senator Paul Stanley (TN), Governor Mark Stanford (SC), Board of Ed Chair, and Kristin Maguire AKA Bridget Keeney (SC), she wants to re-establish a family values party, that is like saying that the Catholic Church cares about the welling being of children in their care, too late for that. Yee Haw!

this is how they are hurting american buisness in alabama, georgia . one guy is legal , he provides room & board , food to the others who are illegals in return the do not get paid any money for a period of time so now the legal guy can under bid anyone who has to pay their help putting the american co. out of the job , but even though they get the job done faster & cheaper the quality of the work is very poor and usually requires repair

  10. Jack June 26, 2010 at 12:22 pm

Today approximately 25 million Americans are unemployed and cannot find a job!

How can we allow amnesty for 20-30 million illegal aliens and put millions more Americans out of work???

Do you think our economy is bad now at 10-12% unemployment?

Amnesty could double our unemployment rate to 20% or more in a matter of months! That my friends would completely devastate our country!!

    Adios USA!

The White House is trying to accomplish this whole scheme as quietly as possible so it will be too late for Americans to stop it!

This action will secure those votes they SO DESPERATELY need in November in order to keep Congress a Democrat majority.

We need to inform ALL AMERICANS of this plan to force amnesty against the will of the people!
Can you imagine the FLOOD of illegals pouring through our borders if Washington shoves this amnesty through!!! Word at our south border would spread like wildfire!

It is odd that there has been this big spike in right wing idiocy coming out of Arizona though. Texas has a higher background level of crazy and right now Arizona is like a supernova taking the attention. I wonder how long it will last.

Actually it isn’t that strange. Arizona has been moving gradually towards the middle over the last twenty years. The population has doubled in that time and a big part of that spike wasn’t old retirees who tended to be conservative, but a lot of younger families moving from blue states, etc. In 2008 McCain only received 53.4% of the vote here in Arizona, his sixth lowest vote total among the states he won. Now think about that, his home state was one of his least supportive states. Had McCain been from Texas, Florida, etc., he likely would have lost Arizona.

This state has a long history of very conservative, often racist politics and the supporters of those policies aren’t happy that they are consistently losing ground to moderates and liberals (simply termed as liberals in their tirades). Because of how the state legislature is set up conservatives still have a major majority in both houses but, when Napolitano was governor, she vetoed a lot of their stupidity. In fact she set the record for vetoes in the history of the state. You take her away, bring in Brewer who is a wing-nut’s wing-nut, and you see incredibly stupid legislation that was shut down by a reasonable governor make it out of the state house. At the same time you see an increase in non-conservative population as well as an increase in non-white population and the far white err, right is freaking out.

  12. Benito July 12, 2010 at 5:40 pm

Poor little Arizona, The President of the United States did not take your bait but still filed the lawsuit that will show you for the losers and racist you real are. Deal with that! You guys make me laugh.

  13. Bronson July 17, 2010 at 8:57 pm

Aw, Benito! Firstly, the “our founding forefathers intended this” argument is BS. They talked the talk, but they owned slaves didn’t they? So don’t think they walked the walk and don’t presume that the majority doesn’t rule. It does. It’s the ability of the majority to vote against principles which would benefit them — like slavery — that separates this great country from all others. But enough is enough. We don’t have to give the whole freaking country away.

Secondly, if you think the majority is not always right, you don’t understand how this country works. Give your spot up to someone who deserves it.

As a legal immigrant, my family had to jump over many hurdles to get here and obtain citizenship. We didn’t cross any borders illegally and no one handed us welfare anything. I had to carry my green card in my wallet all the time as a kid. Why shouldn’t everyone else?

  14. Benito July 19, 2010 at 9:01 am

Bronson: Most good and smart adults, as well as, founding father, have a saying “Do as I say not as I do”, please apply then reconsider you comments.

The majority rules only if its not against the Constitution my immigrant brother.

I thought the majority in AZ, NM, TX, NV, UT, CO, OK, on Welfare, are old school Mormons who still practice polygamy with underage girls. You should see the palace homes that are paid with welfare checks.

  15. Mike July 22, 2010 at 9:53 am

The whole deal with the suit against AZ new law is about the Democrats buying favor with the fastest growing segment of the American population. Just like when they lowered the age of majority to 18, this is about “buying” votes, pure and simple.

Since when does letting aliens into your country unlawfully and then abetting them in this illegal activity by letting them stay have anything to do with “principles” or “discrimination”…, more smoke screen.

The answer should come in November when Americans go to the polls.

  16. Benito August 23, 2010 at 1:47 pm

Mike: The law failed when legally challenged!
My question to you why are you against the US Constitution and our Bill of Rights. We the People, our US Constitution and our Bill of Rights Won, you (and crazies like you) Lost. Deal with the truth!

  17. Mike August 23, 2010 at 6:28 pm

That legal challenge is not over until the Supreme Court sings… I won’t bother with calling names of people who merely have a difference of opinion…
