Stuff We Recommend

I have always been into technology.  It started when I spent five years in the United States Air Force flying the multi-million dollar then state-of-the-art supersonic F-4 Phantom fighter bomber.  The F-4 had a lot of high tech black boxes such as an inertial navigation system, weapons release computer system, a radar system that could track targets, IFF/SIF, horizontal situation indicator and the radar homing and warning system.

I bought my first computer in 1983.  It was a $3,000 Compaq portable with two 5 1/4 inch floppy drives, 360k of ram and a 9 inch green monochrome screen.  The Compaq was the size of a sewing machine with a handle on the top for carrying the portable computer.  I also paid $2,000 for a dot matrix impact printer.  I bought WordPerfect version 2 and got a license number in the mid six figures.  That was the sum of all the technology my partner and I had when we started our two man law firm in 1984.  Because I could not afford to hire a consultant, I decided then that I would always learn my hardware and software so that I would not have to be dependent on expensive consultants.

Since 1984, I have been on a never-ending search for hardware and software that will make me and others in my firm more productive and efficient with the goal of making more money.  For more about my experiences and recommendations about technology we use in my small law firm, see:

  • A Review of Infusionsoft Customer Relations Management software – If you have a business with a website, you need this fabulous automatic marketing internet-based software.  It’s a full time 24/7 marketing robot that will generate tons of new business.   It also includes a web shopping cart so you can sell online. It even allows your customers/clients to purchase digital products on your website and it will then automatically download the products to the purchaser.  Disclosure:  I am an Infusionsoft affiliate so I get a commission if you click on a link to Infusionsoft’s website found on this website and then purchase a product or service from Infusionsoft.  Bottom line:  I love the software and would recommend it even if I didn’t get a commission.  I use it in my business and know that Infusionsoft is responsible for capturing a lot of business that I would have lost without it.
