Wow!  Talk about the members of the lucky sperm club.  How much child support should a billionaire pay?  I guess we will soon know the answer to that question.  The Los Angeles Times has a story about billionaire land developer Donald L. Bren and the lawsuit filed by his two illegitimate children.  The kids are asking for $400,000/month retroactive child support for EACH KID based on their allegations that Daddy Bren spent $3 – $5 million a month on himself while they were growing up.  Donald Bren is ranked by Forbes as the 16th richest man in the U.S. with assets of around $12 billion.

Assuming child support ends when a child is 18, $400,000 a month for 17 years is $81,600,000 for each child.  I don’t know about you, but I could get by on half that amount.  I’ll go out on a limb and predict the little tykes don’t get $400,000 a month.  Stay tuned for the results of the upcoming trial when we learn how much a billionaire must pay for child support.

Update:  I was right.  The court ruled the kids take nothing, zip, nada, zero, squat, zilch.
