Union Files Complaint vs. Phoenix

Arizona Republic:  “City violating labor practices by impeding talks, workers say.  A Phoenix employees union filed an unfair labor-practice charge against the city on Wednesday, claiming that management refused to turn over requested financial data, demanded the union cut its salaries by 3.2 percent and discussed contract negotiations with the media.  The American Federation of State, County and Municipal Employees 2384, which represents custodians, mechanics and other field workers, is asking the Phoenix Employee Relations Board to review allegations that City Manager David Cavazos and other top officials have failed to negotiate in good faith, a violation of the city code.”
