Arizona Republic:  “Bankrupt Phoenix developer Opus West Corp. has sued its Minnesota parent and several related trusts, alleging fraud and a pattern of systematic manipulation and abuse that left the high-profile subsidiary undercapitalized and unable to pay its debts.  Opus West, one of five regional operating units of Opus Corp., filed for Chapter 11 protection in July after being sued by lenders on several of its projects. In Chapter 11, a company is shielded from creditor suits while it develops a plan of financial reorganization that is acceptable to the court and its creditors. A committee of the business’ largest unsecured creditors oversees the proceeding.”
