Arizona Department of Environmental Quality

  • ADEQ Septic Tank Inspection Requirements - Since January 1, 2002, septic tanks installed in Arizona on or after  January 1, 2001, must be inspected by a qualified inspector before a home can be sold.

  • ADEQ Form A316 - Form to be filled out by the inspector as part of the property transfer process.  The completed form must be sent to the applicable county health or environmental department.

  • ADEQ List of Provider Categories - Potential inspectors of on-site wastewater systems.

  • ADEQ Recommended Inspection Checklist - ADEQ checklist for use by inspectors to assist in completing the official transfer inspection form (ADEQ Form A316).
