Janet SpanglerProbate, Guardianship, Conservatorship, Estate Planning & Corporate ParalegalRichard Keyt's legal assistant is Janet Spangler. Rick first met Janet in 1998 when he was a partner at the large Phoenix law firm of Gallagher & Kennedy and she was a paralegal in the corporate department. She is an excellent Arizona paralegal. Janet has been a probate paralegal working with Arizona attorneys since 1979. She has assisted surviving heirs and devisees in transferring property titled in the name of deceased individuals to the rightful successors-in-interest. Her broad knowledge and years of probate experience allows her to assist and advise personal representatives and answer their common questions concerning the Arizona probate process and issues that arise during an Arizona probate. Janet has been involved with many formal and informal probates of decedent’s estates, both testate (when there is a Will) and intestate, (when there is no Will). Janet also prepares the documents required to transfer assets without a probate for small estates that are exempt from Arizona probates and assists in transferring a deceased person’s assets without a probate. Janet’s paralegal experience includes representing individuals seeking appointments as guardians (a person responsible for the health, care and well being of another person) and/or conservators (a person responsible for another person's assets and financial affairs), for both adults and minors. She has a wide range of experience in drafting wills, codicils, testamentary trusts, revocable living trusts, trust amendments, irrevocable life insurance trusts, health care powers of attorney, durable powers of attorney, and pre-nuptial agreements. Janet has helped clients in the formation and continuation of corporations, limited liability companies, partnerships, limited partnerships, and limited liability partnerships; qualification of foreign partnerships to do business in Arizona and qualifying Arizona entities to do business in other states. Janet provided paralegal assistance with respect to probate matters and corporate and estate planning assistance in one of Arizona’s largest law firms. Mohr, Hackett, Pederson, Blakley, Randolph & Haga, P.C. Janet worked with David L. Haga primarily in the areas of estate planning, corporate law and probate matters. Cook & Newman. Janet was in charge of the foreclosure department and provided paralegal assistance to both Lew R. Cook and Donald Newman in probate, corporate, estate planning and bankruptcy. Life ExperienceJanet grew up in Kansas. Following her graduation from Highland Jr. College she was recommended to and was hired by Robert A. Reeder, one of the members of the Board of Regents of the college, to work in his law office where she promptly fell in love with the legal profession. Following her marriage to Lee Spangler, an Army Engineer officer, she lived in numerous locales both in the states and overseas, but continued to work in the legal field, both in the Office of the Staff Judge Advocate or local law offices, returning to the Reeder Law Office during periods of her husband’s service in Korea and Vietnam.
